Is going nuclear the answer to our current and future energy problems?

Not really, although nuclear power has a very small carbon footprint you still get the issue of nuclear waste and it isn’t a renewable energy source its just a lot slower at being used up than coal, oil or gas. There is also the potential danger of having loads of nuclear stations. Chernobyl is a perfect example although its a lot safer now and it was caused partly from human error but mostly from poor reactor design, it does increase the odds of something like that happening again It is however the best alternative we have at the moment there are lots of sources we can use. Wind and Solar can be used but they are not very effective (you’ll need fields of turbines to power a city for example) we can also use tidal and hydro power or even biomass can be used as a fuel Nuclear Fusion and Hydrogen Fuel cells are very slowly being developed (fusion is possible to do but its not effective and not stable enough yet) Honda have proved that the Fuel Cell can be used to make a normal car.
