Is God relevant in todays world?
God, the concept of a higher power who is beholden to no other, and to whom humans look for spiritual strength and forgiveness, is as relevant today as the first time the idea of a higher power twinkled into the consciousness of an ancient being. We have created complex religions to support worship of God, each one sacred to many who find solace in their religion and alienation from others. Religions have manifest as a language of worship. Each religion serves as the belief system for millions of people, who would otherwise struggle alone in their darkest hours. Belief in God, given a common language through their unique religion, allows peace and hope to escort them through struggle. It’s not about religion, it’s about access to God. We all need access to God. In an everyday world, human beings take on every nuance of good and bad.
