Is GOD mankinds worst invention?
God will be humanity’s undoing. If everyone could practice their own religions and not start wars and hate other because they believe differently than my opinion would be different. U kind of have to relate it to what u would do with a group of children and 1 shiny brand new toy. Every1 wants it, every1 want to be the ONE who deserves it and is willing to step on ever1 to get it. That is how far we have come……. if it doesn’t go i feel we as the human race will not be able to get past a certain point in evolution. Mostly, because we will end up killing each other in the name of something that does not exist. Think about this if all of their gods were right (even 1) wouldn’t they let u know or fight for their own name. It wouldn’t take too much of their time or energy. they don’t because they don’t exist. I truly believe that man shot himself in the foot when religion popped up its head, it’s an invention to keep people in line, how can anyone take it seriously, it’s caused more problems in the world than anything else. Wars, poverty, over population just three examples, perhaps those things would happen anyway but I would say that most religions are intolerant, misery provoking institutions, think the catholic church the most hypocritical of all organisations, people having children they can’t afford all because some church tells you it’s a sin to wear a condom, or a priest must be celibate to be devoted only to God, causing widespread misery for them and others who have suffered sexual abuse at their hands. The Islamic religions are no better, people being murdered, raped, mutilated all in the name of Allah. Perhaps people consider this heresy well so be it, I’m not a follower and i don’t believe in God, and I would most probably have been burnt at the stake as a witch in this country
1. No. I believe mankind’s worst invention is thinking everything can be explained apart from God. Many of the things science has discovered they’d never know to look for it unless they read it in the Bible. Read God’s argument with Job. Several things mentioned there man didn’t know existed at that time. Though Genesis is first in King James version Job is the oldest book. 2. Yes. Religion is man’s attempt to understand God. No more, no less. The same way science is man’s attempt to understand the world God created. 3.Yes & no. Many have been killed in the name of a god of one religion or another. That’s true. But it was religious men with faith in one true God that helped abolish slavery, formed charities to help the poor, etc. Does that balance it out? That’s for God to sort out. It’s individual hearts that are judged. Even in the end times religion will play a huge part in the rise of the Beast. 4. God, Allah,The Almighty, The Supreme Omnipresent Ether, etc or whatever name or term that the pious religious people, cosmologists and philosophers call it is unseen and an entity that pervades and controls every living and inanimate thing that exists on Earth and the rest of the Universe. Whether we believe it or not it is there, was there and forever will be there and not created or invented by Man. It is ony the name that was coined by us, just as the thousands of names given to every thing, seen or unseen. So technically speaking we really cannot use the word ‘invention’ in the same manner that man has created and invented many useful things in the world. You, James are not considered ‘evil’ by just thinking about an idea, doing no practical harm to anybody or anything. Hope this can clear the doubts we all seem to have.
