Is God forgiving or vengeful?

God Himself? Forgiving. He’s just LOOKING for reasons to intervene, and rescue us from ‘humanity’… and from ourselves. He leaves the vengeance to the evil people, and the unpredictable forces of nature. But He has created a method to rid Himself of the dreadful and heartbreaking job of ‘judging’. God does not want to see one person hurt or harmed, ever. He has left an opportunity for change of heart and a change of ways, and given us ample time to look for and find that opportunity. But nobody can do this for anyone else. It’s a personal matter, and a responsibility, for each person to think for themselves and hopefully to learn and grow. According to the bible, every person will be judged according to their own ways: thoughts, actions, intents. Not so much ‘God’ that does the judging, but the spiritual Law.
