Is God a Magician or a Wizard?

Einstein once asked whether God could have made the World otherwise. What this means is whether Science as we discover it is the only possible lawfulness for a World to exist or whether other Worlds ruled by different scientific laws could also be possible. According to the first chapter of Genesis, God created at three occasions and spoke at nine or ten occasions. In computer language this means that He created the hardware at three different moments and programmed the software about ten times. So the biblical answer to Einstein’s question is that the laws of nature could be different if God would have written a different program. He can also modify the program from time to time and thereby produce miracles.

God is the Great I AM. He is the source of all wisdom and love. He is the Creator. He is our Father. He loves us all and wants us all back. That is why He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into this world. To redeem us, to make us acceptable to return to Him. We could not obey the Law completely. It is impossible for man. Jesus fulfilled the law with His Death and Resurrection. When we give our lives to Him and are born again, we become a new creature, a part of the body of Christ and our salvation ( return to God) is assured. This personal relationship with the Saviour has nothing to do with any religion.

I don’t know that I would lable it controll. I believe that God will do something outside the range of science. So in that contex, yes he controls it, but he doesn’t just change the norms of science. In an example a person has cancer, they have the results of tests, doctors have verified the cancer exists. But during the process, the cancer disappears. The doctors are at a loss to explain how the person was healed, there may or may not have been medication, but cancer just doesn’t disappear. I have talked to several doctors and most of them that have a large cancer practice have seen it. Since they have no explination they gave it a name of spontanious remission. There are many examples of something happening without explination that goes against scientific reason. The ancients caled it a mericle.
