Is getting some good lovin a valid reason for turning up to work 2 hours late?
First of all, congratulations on being TWO HOURS late. That’s some good lovin’! Secondly, I think it’s the best reason for being late, but probably not something you should admit to… it’s very likely the ‘rest of the office’ are old, fat and incredibly sexually frustrated so that’s a sure way to make yourself a hate figure. Just smile & rub it in a bit more – they’ll get over it! Next time, though, I’d suggest coming up with an excuse they could relate to such as: “Sorry I’m late, I was…errr up late in a Scrabble tournament.” (Might go down a bit better) If all else fails, of course, there’s always the ‘taking grandma to hospital…on a bus’ excuse.
