If you learn so much more in regular classes, trust me, don’t waste your time with AP classes and go on with taking regular classes. Grades DO help when it comes to getting selected for colleges, but SAT and ACT scores matter a heck of a lot too. But, if you aren’t doing so well with the material you learn at school, you obviously won’t do so well on those tests. I mean, with AP classes, you basically just learn more in depth things about the same topic and at a faster pace. And well, grades aren’t exactly the only things that are looked at when being selected for colleges. My dad knows plenty of people who didn’t go to college but are millionaires now, simply due to the fact that they were smart when it came to their decisions and choices in life. And, just like you mentioned, he knows plenty of people who went to amazing schools and got amazing grades but… aren’t so successful now.
