You can’t rewrite history. At least not single-handedly. I haven’t finished reading George W. Bush’s memoirs. I only started Sunday night after I got the book at his Miami Book Fair appearance. But I can tell you this. The success of this book, as a historical document, will depend on how much insight he offers into decision-making, and less on whether it is rewriting or spinning history.
