Is Geography A level hard?
I did the Scottish equivalent of GCSE in geography and then a Higher in the subject, which is equivalent to the first half of the A level. I then did the A level in 1 year. It’s marked pretty toughly – after an A at GCSE and a B at Higher, I got a C at A level. I didn’t increase my work-rate each year, which they kind of expect. Your hard work will probably pay more dividends in a science subject. In geography you can write the 4-page answer of your life and still get a C. I don’t think not doing it at GCSE will particularly affect your chances (especially if you did essay based subjects like history and politics), but you might like to look over the course syllabus and see how interested you are in it. You will encounter human and physical topics. HUMAN Do you like writing about population growth versus food growth, rural migration to cities, the reasons some cities have concentric distribution (central business district, then commercial and residential) and others have distributions
