Is genealogical information available in the files at DHR?
Very little in the way of family histories will be found in the files and databases in the DHR archives. DHRs work is centered on the recognition, protection, and management of the structures, districts, and sites that make up Virginias cultural fabric. If genealogical information is contained in a file, it is only there to provide a fuller picture of the history behind the property.
