Is gender discrimination illegal?
Gender discrimination is illegal. As for car insurance, it’s all about statistics. Males tend to get into more severe accidents than women, while women get into more “fender benders”. Which ones cost the insurance companies more money to fix, the major accidents. It’s all about money. And I hate to say it, a lot of security people in the malls and stores do tend to profile blacks more (and Hispanics). They tend to pick potential problem people by their appearance – what they are wearing, how they talk, who they are with. It’s just a fact of life.
