Is gender discrimination a myth in india??

0

Ask any Indian, male or female, this question: Who was the most powerful head of state India ever had? You will get the answer “Indira Gandhi” She was a widow when she got elected as the head of state. She was defeated thoroughly when she misused that position. She was elected again after a few years. Gender discrimination is a myth in most advanced societies. I don’t think any male or female born and living in a family will ever discriminate a person based on “gender” alone. Everybody has parents and siblings. It is other conditions that force majority to discriminate women. For example I believe the war infested condition of Afghanistan and the absence of any governing/judiciary system made people accept fanatics like Taliban and they became powerful. If things were better, nobody will listen to such bs.
