Fruits Basket is not a good anime. It is a good manga! The anime is only decent. The manga has so much more depth…You’ll see the difference if you read it and then watch it. The anime just does not owe the storyline what it is due. However, if you are looking for a quick and unfinished romantic comedy (comedy is more emphasized), with a few fantasy elements and extremely likeable characters, then I would recommend it to you.

As many other people have said, the manga IS so much better. Fruits Basket anime doesn’t really finish completely because they only made it up to about volume 6 or something…. They don’t even introduce two of the main characters!! D: Though it’s still fairly good!! The ending may disappoint you.
