I did quite a bit of searching and could basically find nothing to suggest that it is dangerous. The side effects pet owners have experienced seem to be mostly a slight rash for a day or so where applied on Dogs and very little could be found about side effects when applied to Cats. This is good news for all owners, but there is a word of caution here. There should not be side effects, but that is assuming you apply it correctly. The frontline flea treatment and tick treatments should never be mixed between Cats and Dogs. They have different levels of the active ingredients and should only ever be used on the pet they are meant for. If you follow this simple guideline then they seem to be extremely safe to apply. If, however, a pet does react badly, which is always a possibility, then you must call your Vet at once.
