Produce that is frozen is always picked at the very best time for that particular produce to be picked. While fresh produce is sometimes picked at a less then ideal time for that produce to be picked. When produce is picked at the very best tie for it to be picked it has the best flavor and nutrients for that produce. When a produce is frozen it can always be picked at the very best time. Fresh produce may have to wait for picking for one reason or another so it might be overripe or under ripe. When produce is frozen it is processed within hours of being picked so it maintains much of it’s nutrients.
