Is fresh meat better than tinned food for cats?

I buy a pack of chunky chicken or those small cooked chicken pieces from the supermarket to supplement my cats diet. She is a jelly licker too (Felix only) and will only eat cheap dry food (I too tried loads of different types, but ended up back with the cheap). She is about 5 years old and also a bit of a secret gremlin! She is indoor/outdoor so does get some exercise, and is about 4.5 kg. She has put some weight on since she moved in 3 years ago, but I think she needed it as she was quite skinny. I just put a few small pieces on top of her wet food which seems to encourage her to eat a little more. A pack lasts me all week unless I nick some to make myself chicken sandwiches. She seems to be doing well on it. She also gets a little of my Sunday roast as long as it isn’t pork. As long as you don’t feed too much, I don’t think it is a bad thing. As yours is a bit handicapped by her leg at the moment, it might be worth just asking your vet what he/she would recommend.
