Is freight included in the price for packing?
No, freight is not included in standard prices. Jaeger has U.S. plants or inventories in California, Kansas, Texas. A safe cost estimate for FedEx ground service is $1.50 per cubic foot. Small FedEx shipments will be somewhat higher and contract trucks a bit less, depending on actual quantity shipped. Be careful with LTL truck shipments unless you have a large discount. Due to the low weight, high cube of our product, LTL carriers use freight classes of 150 and 250, which may result in cost as much as $3.00 per cubic foot. Jaeger’s customer service staff has many years of experience in getting packing to you at the least possible cost. Remember that our freight rates are estimates and may change slightly based on actual service and rates in existence at time of shipment.
