Is Forks, Washington crawling with Twilight fans?
According to the Forks Chamber of Commerce article in the Peninsula Daily News, Forks has had over 18,000 visitors this year alone. Nearby Port Angeles has also seen an increase in visitors. Both towns have Twilight Stores which sell movie memorabilia, etc. Forks has even given Dr. Cullen his own labelled parking space at the hospital and there are several “photo op” places arranged at the High School, etc. The Twilight Store in Port Angeles actually had a birthday bash–cake and everything–for Edward on his “17 AGAIN” birthday. Port Angeles also sports the Bella Italia restaurant–home of Edward and Bella’s first date as well as the Lincoln theater–also first date. It’s kind of wild–and funny at times–to watch the tourists.
