Is Forex trading similar to traditional securities and stock trading?
In some ways yes, but the main difference is that Forex trading is usually conducted on a very short term basis. Holding of a currency could be as short as a few minutes and rarely extends for more than a few weeks. In the more traditional stock market scenarios traders plan their strategies based on the long-term. In Forex trading you need to keep on top of the action and strategize on a day-to-day and week-to-week basis.
