Is Ford Shelby Mustang Getting V8 EcoBoost engine?
The rumors about Ford Motor Company’s plans to add a V8 EcoBoost engine to the Shelby Mustang are gradually picking up pace. It all started with the report of a 50th Anniversary Edition twin-turbo 2014 1/2 Mustang. Also, FoMoCo has earlier said that 90 percent of the company’s vehicles will feature the EcoBoost engine by 2013. The latest report is from TheDetroitBureau.com, which says Ford is planning a modified V8 EcoBoost engine for the new Shelby. Some of statistics and facts are also drawing us towards such an outcome. The Dearborn automakers has said that almost 80 percent of the company’s widespread nameplates will have an EcoBoost option. By such a policy, the global EcoBoost volume is expected to reach up to 1.3 million units by 2013, with about 750,000 sales in North America alone.
