Is food rationed when people want to but from an american airbase in the uk?
I guess that you are asking if the American Air Base in the UK is rationing food. I don’t know the specifics in the UK…However when ever there is a limited supply sometimes the commisarries will put a limit on how much of an item people can buy. I’ve seen it at several overseas bases from time to time. I was in the South Pacific in the Navy. Sometimes they would limit sales during times when they were running out of certain things…that was so that everyone could have some. In a way that is rationing sales. It is usually temporary or during a sale. If there is a rationing going on right now, it is most likely on selected items and they may limit sales to one or two (or what ever number) to each family or service member…There would also be a reason for the limits…such as a shipment might be delayed or they might have trouble stocking the item. Wayne C gave a good answer. I almost forgot about. In Japan sometimes people would buy stuff up and try to sell it on the black market. Th
