Is Flax Low in Carbohydrates?
Flax is low in carbohydrates (sugars and starches). Flax normally contains about 1% carbohydrates by weight therefore flax contributes very little to the total carbohydrate intake. Natunola Omega-3 Flax Kernels are very low in carbohydrates, in fact, Natunola Omega-3 Flax 70 contains only 0.14 grams per 5 gram serving of effective carbohydrates (note that effective carbohydrates are the total carbohydrates minus the fiber portion – as fiber is not absorbed, it should not be counted as a carbohydrate).
