Is first year Anatomy of the Human Body really as difficult as people say it is?

I took anatomy my second semester of freshman year and it was really difficult for me. I was like you and thought that everyone was just complaining and not working hard enough. At that time I didn’t have the proper study habits and made a C. This class takes a lot of work (lots of memorization) and you will devote a lot of time to this class. I think that if you’ve taken other upper-restricted electives and made good grades in those classes then anatomy should be doable for you. I do have regrets taking this class so early but at the same time it showed me the level I should be working at to maintain an A in all of my classes. Ever since then I haven’t made anything less than an A in elective.
