Is financial assistance available?
If youre enrolled in a certificate or degree program, the online learning course you take may qualify for financial assistance. Veterans enrolled in degree programs may be eligible for reimbursement for a distance learning course when they successfully complete the course. CD-ED is registered as a Private Career College under the Private Career Colleges Regulations Act. Therefore, students may qualify for financial assistance through local student financial assistance programs. You must contact your local student aid office to find out whether you qualify. There are also other plans under which you may qualify for assistance; for example, HRDC and compensation or rehabilitation plans. Yes, CDIA is committed to helping our students take advantage of the many resources available to finance their education. Whether it is a student loan, our deferred tuition payment plan, government sponsorship, or corporate reimbursement, our Financial Assistance Staff will assist you through each step of the process.

Yes. Students can arrange government loans (federal and provincial) if they are enrolled in courses totaling a minimum of nine credits. Scholarships and bursaries are also available. Part-time evening students who are employed full-time usually are not eligible for student loans, but may be eligible for bursaries. High School Child Care Career Scholarship High school students who successfully complete the high school credit courses through Career and Technologies Studies (CMH 2050 and 3050), or take the free, online Child Development Assistant orientation course while in high school, are eligible to receive a $2,500 scholarship.
