Is financial assistance available?
GSNENY has a limited amount of financial assistance funds. Financial assistance is available for any portion of the camp fees excluding a $25 deposit. This is done on a first come first serve basis, and is based on the individual needs of the girl. Assistance is limited to one camp session per child per summer camp season.
A. Financial assistance is available for those who are uninsured or underinsured, or who are experiencing financial hardship. Yes. Financial assistance is available to girls living in one of Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts communities. Financial assistance is available for girls who, without this assistance, could not attend a Girl Scout day or resident camp. Assistance is given for only a portion of the two weeks of day or resident camp so that we may meet the needs of as many girls as possible. All information will be kept confidential. To apply, please submit: • Camp Registration Form: All forms must include deposit of $25. • Financial Aid Application: Every question must be answered. (Get Form) • If the camper is not currently a Girl Scout, include the $10 membership fee with your camp deposit. The Review Process: Beginning in February, action will be taken to review newly received Financial Assistance applications on a monthly basis (Feb-June). Yes, but only for emissions related repairs involving a Notice of Violation due to the On-Road Emissions (ORE) Program. Also, vehicle owners must be in compliance with all ORE program requirements. To request financial assistance, you must fill out the Application for Financial Assistance form (see below) and provide all required documentation. In order to qualify, your combined household family income must be equal to or less than 133% of the Federal Poverty Income level. The household family income levels are found on the Application for Financial Assistance form included with The Notice. Important: The vehicle must have been repaired at a Virginia Certified Emissions Repair Facility (CRF), and the repairs must have been performed or supervised by a Virginia Certified Emissions Repair Technician (CRT). Also, you must have paid for the repairs. The vehicle must also have a “pass” or “waiver” inspection report from the repairs. The actual amount of assistance will be 50% of the amount
