Is FIFO inventory costing going to be included in a future release of QuickBooks?

QuickBooks is designed as an Accounting system. The system can do basic inventory but is not designed for it. I expect the accounting to always be their first and foremost concern. If you are wanting a software solution that focuses on Inventory Control there are a lot out there that integrate with QuickBooks. Some give you hardware others software, some both, there are barcode scanners, lot tracking, FIFO costing and tracking, there is a lot to choose from. You will notice the price variance and what a good Inventory system can cost. That is a really good indicator as to why QuickBooks focuses on its Accounting and keeps costs low. Not every company needs inventory. The one’s I hear about a lot are fishbowl and Advance ware, but they are definitely more out there. You can also start your search by going to Marketplace.intuit.com and search through solutions for the Canadian Product. There are trials, and I always say find testimonials. Or even post another question on the Forums askin
