The fertilizers are mixed with potting soil to increase the fertility of soil. There are different types of fertilizers are mixed with the potting soil organic, chemical and natural fertilizers. I am using BioActive Cocopeat with my potting soil.  You can use 100% BioActive Cocopeat in pots or containers. This will give the best results. I find it very effective in plant growth and had a good result.

Usually your plants will need fertilizer in the water everytime they are watered, use a weaker strength if you perform this at each watering. Answer. Fertiliser and potting soil are two different things. Potting soil contains fertiliser that is helpful to the plants wellbeing, potting soil is a mixture for planting in.
