Is Fender Acoustic Guitar better quality than a Yamaha Acoustic Guitar?
I like my Yamaha 12-string very much. I have not played a Yamaha 6-string. My Yamaha classical guitar, from the 1970’s, is also quite well made with good sound. I don’t think Fender makes Classical Guitars and I have not played any 12-string acoustic Fenders, but their 6-strings are pretty good. Not up there with the top of the line Gibsons and Martins, but good.
In order to determine quality between these manufacturers you will have to limit the comparison to instruments within the same price range and build for a specific purpose. Both companies make instruments to be played with steel strings and to be played only with nylon strings (classical guitars).Both companies have a very good reputation within the guitar-playing community.So in the final analysis you will have to play the instruments within the same price-range and musical style for which it was made and make your own decision.Only you can determine which instrument fits your particular choices in “sound”and “playability” of the instrument. Note:Even within the same manufacturer two identical instruments in the same price category may have some differences in “feeling” and “sound” to a prospective buyer.Try both manufacturer guitars first and then decide for yourself.
