Is feeding my puppy Milkbone and Alpo treats OK?
Both have nasty ingredients. I personally avoid both. Having one here and there is fine (like when I take my dog to the petstore, they give her a biscuit like those when we check out), but I wouldn’t give them on a regular basis. Think of it this way, if you had a child, would you give them 3-5 candybars a day for snacks? Or would you rather give them 3-5 pieces of fruit? Candy-bars are the human-equivalent of those treats. If you would rather feed the healthy snack (like feeding your child the pieces of fruit), go with higher-quality biscuits. Here are some good ones, they’re meaty and have great ingredients: EVO dog treats – http://www.evopet.com/products/default.a… Canidae snap biscuits – http://www.canidae.com/treats/snap-biscu… ** Remember, treats and biscuits should not make up more than 10% of your dog’s total diet
