Is exercise equipment dangerous?

Exercise equipment is not dangerous unless it is used in an unappriate manner. You need to be careful while using machines or even free weights for exercise. If used in a improper manner they can prove to be harmful as they may cause strain in the muscle and that will surely be painful. Using safer exercise equipments like exercise bands for exercise will be safe and equally effective.

Over 25,000 children are injured each year due to accidents with exercise equipment (this is an older statistic as well). It appears that exercise bikes and jump ropes are the most dangerous for children. Bikes can amputate a finger or a toe and jump ropes have become tangled around childrens’ necks and strangled them to death. Dr. Allan R.
