Is execution right or wrong?
Without question, it is wrong. I am English and in my sixties and I remember in the sixties the horror of the last hangings. It hung over the whole country, one woke up on the morning of the execution and looked at the time, ‘they had another hour on this planet’ as the clock struck every one was quiet we were all depressed and down for ages.Tears come into my eyes as I remember two young men. I no longer remember their names nor what they did, waving from a balcony to people below, they were hung days later. Thank God we no longer murder in the name of the ‘law’ here, you have no idea of what you ask. 🙂 As for America, no their system is not civillized and ours is not either. Perhaps jail as we know it is not the answer but we should try to go forward not backwards. Backwards into murder and flogging, yes that was also done on the Isle of Man not too many years ago.
