Is evolution the cause of why people overeat?

Yes and No to evolution… Evolution of the history of man. Kind of… But rather more, the evolution of modern living and society. Especially here in the USA more than any other nation. The USA has more overweight and obese people than any other nation, with good reason. It’s the way we live. Granted not all of us “follow the pack”. But on the whole, here in the USA we like to live bigger, better, and with every possible convenience at our disposal. We also rationalise big portions by saying “I worked hard/worked out today. I deserve it”. But most of all, we like what I call “percieved immediate value” as far as money goes. I call it “percieved immediate value”, because it also reflects a reputation that we in the USA have garnered around the world… Namely, that we only look at the short term and rarely look at the long-term, and also that we love money. Right now, we can eat “endless pasta” at one very popular restaurant for under $9, and many will stuff themselves to bursting. Sim
