Is evolution a theory or not?
It depends what type of evolution you are referring to. Micro Evolution or Macro Evolution? Yes it is a theory, but only one of the two afformentioned kinds has valid, substantail scientific proof behind it. Mirco evolution is the theory that certian species undergo change < from one generation to the next, or a short period of generations> due to heredity (genentic mutations, such as in the genes from two parents) and adaptations to enviornment. Such as: A bear or a lion developing a thicker coat to deal with extremely cold temperatures, OR or a duck or whatever that has grown webbed feet to deal with it’s enviornment being mostly water. etc. This is in therory, but it has been scientifically proven to be correct and accurate. Macro Evolution is the theory that one species can produce an entirely different one < from one generation to the next, or a longer period of generations> based on gentic mutations etc and the principle of ABIOGENESIS, which, was scientifically proven to be Fals
