Is everything fair in love and war?

No because when you love someone and they love you back but a complete stranger love’s your lover then it’s not fair on them because they’ve been rejected. War is also not fair because innocent civilians die from the hands of people who had no relevant reason to start a war with them in the first place. Moreover, in war their must be a winner and a loser.

Nothing in life is fair because we always want more – human beings are never satisfied with what they have. You can argue Love and War are based on two extreme emotions. Or you can argue both are irrational. Anyway, I’m going off on a tangent. Yes, I think everything IS fair in love and war. We are humans and we need to do whatever we can to survive. As I said, humans are animals at the end of the day and we are selfish. What’s your opinion? EDIT: I’ve changed my mind (your question really got me thinking) So, no all is not fair in love and war. Why? Well, without universal standards to guide us we bump around in the dark unable to perceive any objective definition of our fundamental institutions, merely chasing dreams of our own. This would result in a complete breakdown in society as a result of people pushing each other out the way to achieve what they want. Sometimes you’ve got to give a little to get a little. So no is my final answer. I promise!
