Every tutor undergoes a comprehensive training in each of the major citation and documentation styles most often used in college classes. So, every tutor should be able to assist writers regardless of which style they are required to use. However, because tutors have a wide range of majors and minors, not every tutor is as well-versed in every one of the styles. Tutors are trained to know what disciplines use what styles, how to find the correct manuals and where to go to locate the correct information.
