Is Eventus software compatible with the current CRSP U.S. stock database?
Eventus 9 can directly read any recent release of the CRSP U.S. Stock Database if installed on the same computer as Eventus or accessible on a local network drive. The previous version, Eventus 8, may be compatible with current CRSP updates depending on your subscription. Your CRSP subscription may be Stock and Indices or Stock (which actually includes a few indices, but not as many as Stock and Indices). If your subscription is Stock, Eventus 8 is compatible with CRSP data through 2008, but you will have to upgrade to Eventus 9 for compatibility with CRSP updates that include two or more months of 2009 data.
