Is equine massage used to diagnose or treat illness or injury?

0

As a certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist I am not qualified to diagnose or treat injuries or illness. Your Veterinarian is the lead on your medical team and will work with you to diagnose your horse. There are rare times during massage when I will feel heat, swelling, or a reaction beyond what is generally expected during a massage. In that case I will let you know so you can determine how you want to handle it. Massage can benefit during rehab and with your Vet’s approval I will be glad to massage as directed.
