Is epilepsy curable or is it a life time problem?
Epilepsy is NOT curable. Some people do grow out of it and some people it does disappear over time, but most people it does not go away. Valproic acid (depakote) is good for some people, but not for others. Whoever that “doctor” is, they aren’t a real doc. Otherwise they’d know that you can’t recommend treatments for non-patients without a full medical history taken. Hippocratic Oath. Do no harm. That’s not taking measures to do no harm. She needs to get a timer so she can be reminded to take her meds. I know with mine it’s really hard (since seizures can mess with your memories), but a timer helps a LOT.
