Sorry Shah but endive is not a lettuce but a member of the chicory family ( although it is classed as a salad item) It has a refreshing but slightly bitter taste – it`s great in salads which contain sweetish tasting foods, it can also be braised with chicken stock, butter & lemon juice for an unusual vegetable dish.
