Is Elna a good and reliable brand for their sewing machines?

Elna is pretty good, it is not made in Switzerland anymore, the mid range machines are nice and fun to use. Sometimes, where you buy the machine will benefit you. If the store selling the machine is a nice place to shop, and the staff are friendly and willing to help you with lessons and support, that sometimes is more important than the brand you buy. Tell the staff what you want in a machine, and if you dont know, tell them your interests- why you want to buy a new machine. If they are knowledgeable, they will pick the right machine for you, these days- there are no ‘better brands’ only the one best for the person using it. Look around though, but try not to stress out about it and ask for a demonstration if that makes you more comfortable with the decision. Good Luck Hey!
