Electrology is an Allied Health Science, and the American Electrology Association in conjunction with the Center for Disease Control, has developed recommended national standards for sterilization procedures. In our office we use pre-sterilized, single use disposable needles (probes) and sterile forceps, hand washing and the use of disposable gloves.
