Is Egypt very similar to Syria, ethnicaly, culturaly and demographicaly?
As for the economy Egypt is slightly better but you can’t generalize Egypt is 80 million people and some people can be very poor, However Egypt is politically more important than Syria in fact Egypt can be the most important political power in the whole middle east, (May be second to Turkey if you consider Turkey to be part of the middle east). Ethnically they are different, a Syrian may look like a Lebanese or a Palestinian but the Egyptians look …Egyptian. AS for the cuisine they are totally different, Syria’s cuisine is Levantine shared with Lebanon, and Palestine. Egyptian cuisine is just Egyptian. They are both Muslim majority countries and they speak Arabic though the dialect can be different. They also have beautiful cities that are just as old as time.
