Is education the way forward in order to fight terrorism?
it’s not just education, it’s also the environemnt you grow up in. If you live in a civilized western country, with free health care, education, strong law and order it’s hard to appreciate what it’s like living in the Gaza strip or the West Bank … If we saw our homes being bulldozed by Israeli tanks, our sisters being raped and killed by occupation troops how would we react? In essence, sorry Mucky, you’re very sweet, but yes, to blame lack of education is too simplistic – it’s also stability, freedom of expression, freedom of religion … and sometimes even that’s not enough – look at our own home-grown religious fanatics and terrorists… glad you liked your vacation!
