Is EcoLight safer to be used than mosquito coil?
Yes. Epidemiologic studies have shown that long-term exposure to mosquito coil smoke can induce asthma and persistent wheeze in children (Azizi and Henry 1991; Fagbule and Ekanem 1994; Koo and Ho 1994). According to a joint research done by Universities of USA and Malaysia on mosquito coil emissions and health implications [Environ Health Perspect 111:1454-1460(2003)], the exposure to mosquito coil smoke poses both acute and chronic health risks as a large suite of volatile organic compounds including carcinogens and suspected carcinogens were found in the coil smoke.
