Is ECFC a Charismatic Church?
The word Charismatic or Full Gospel both refer to acknowledgement of the present day work of the Holy Spirit to empower believers to fulfill the work of the ministry. Charismatic is derived from the Greek word “charisma” which means gift. Full Gospel refers to embracing the gift of the Holy Spirit, as did the early disciples in Acts 2. Along with the gift of the Holy Spirit are the manifestations of His presence as demonstrated in Acts 2, I Corinthians 12 and throughout the Book of Acts. At ECFC we are both Charismatic and Full Gospel in our beliefs. While the Word of God is always our final authority, LOVE is always our motivating force.
