Is eating bugs a sin?

I never heard of what you described; however, John the Baptist survived on locusts and wild honey. Lots of people in primitive societies eat various bugs–even scorpions and tarantulas (cooked, of course). God doesn’t say anything in the scriptures about forbidding people to eat bugs. I would be more concerned with pork that is uncooked. You might get intestinal parasites (trichinosis). Now that would be nasty. My father served in WWI in France. Back then, nobody knew about the parasites people got from eating uncooked pork. He was infected, and suffered the rest of his life with horrible stomach problems. Once they get into your blood stream, it’s almost impossile to kill them. If the bugs you ate on your steak won’t harm you, then go for it!
