Yes, the writing scores are used for recognition. Duke TIP evaluated the national percentile rankings, as reported by the College Board and determined the ceremony score level is consistent with juniors and seniors taking the SAT. Duke TIP has set the state level criteria at approximately the 50% NPR and the grand level criteria at approximately the 90% NPR.
