Is DSPL a replacement for other formats used for data exchange and/or analysis?
Generally not. As noted in the previous answer, DSPL is designed for interactive visualization and exploration. It is not intended as a generic, do-all data interchange or analysis format. Ultimately, we view DSPL as being complementary to other formats. Users should be able to create DSPL datasets from other sources for the purpose of creating rich, interactive data visualizations.
