Kidney kingpin nabbed in Chitwan KATHMANDU, Feb 8 – The much pursued kingpin of a major Indian kidney racket Dr Amit Kumar was finally caught in a police dragnet. Nepal Police arrested the don from a resort in Chitwan Thursday evening. Along with Dr Amit, police also nabbed one of his close aides, Manish Singh. According to State Minister for Home Ram Kumar Chaudhari, a police team led by Deputy Inspector General Kiran Kumar Gautam arrested Dr Amit from a Wild Life Camp Hotel at Souraha around 5 pm. “Police have brought Dr Amit to District Police Office, Chitwan. He will be brought to Kathmandu tomorrow [Friday] morning,” said State Minister Chaudhari, confirming the arrest. Police also seized a bank draft for Indian rupees 936,000, and Euros 145,000 and USD 18,900 in cash from the arrested.
