Is Discovery Schoolhouse a Day Care Center, Childcare Program, Preschool, Kindergarten, or a Nursery School?
Discovery Schoolhouse provides a warm, nurturing, supportive, educational, and enjoyable experience for children from 2 years – 9 months through kindergarten age, including some after school care for children seven through nine years old. We are open from 7:00 in the morning until 6:00 in the evening January 1st through December 31st. We do not follow a school-year calendar, and children enroll at any time. We always have children enrolled for a variety of the available schedules, with some children attending “full time,” five days a week, 7:00 to 6:00, and other children attending only 3 days 8:30 – 3:00 (and often being picked up early). Many parents send their children to Discovery Schoolhouse so that their children will have a positive social experience with other children, learn how to be friends, and learn about the world.
